About Us

MISSION

The National Association of Jamaican Olympians (NAJO), a community of past and present Olympians, seeks to unite Jamaican Olympians, represent them and serve their needs throughout their lives, while promoting the Olympic values.

PURPOSE

To bring the Olympians of Jamaica together and encourage them to use their status and experience to promote and develop the ideals of Olympism throughout Jamaica. To represent and promote the interests of Olympians and to provide relief for Olympians in need at any stage of their lives. To build an active Regular Membership dedicated to the mission and purpose of NAJO. To operate for charitable and educational purposes in harmony with the fundamental principles set forth in the Olympic Charter.

BACKGROUND

The National Association of Jamaican Olympians (formerly Olympians Association of Jamaica) was formed in 2004 and is a member of the World Olympians Association(WOA). There are 148 National Olympians Associations (NOAs) spread across all five continents.
