An Evening of Tribute: Olympians and Supporters Saluted

July 2, 2025 | Kingston, Jamaica –  On June 30 2025, the Olympic spirit was alive and well at the Alhambra Inn in Kingston, as the National Association of Jamaican Olympians hosted its annual celebration under the theme “With Gratitude: Recognizing Dedication to Jamaica’s Olympic Journey.”

The event paid tribute to thirteen outstanding individuals—eight Olympians and five dedicated administrators—for their lasting contributions to Jamaica’s Olympic legacy.

But the true heart of the evening came during the responses from honorees Ruth Williams-Simpson and Belinda Phillips, whose heartfelt reflections on their Olympic journeys deeply resonated with those in attendance. Their stories of perseverance, national pride, and personal growth offered a moving reminder of the values that define Jamaica’s Olympic legacy.

The programme also featured award presentations by fellow Olympians and sporting leaders, a dinner reception, and moments of warm fellowship among generations of Jamaica’s Olympic family.

For a closer look at their incredible achievement and impact you can read the citations for each honoree here: Citations

We thank all who made the evening possible—our presenters, supporters, and partners. Together, we continue to honour Jamaica’s Olympic journey with pride and purpose.
